Last updated: January 19, 2024

The new hotel and casino is a little smaller than usual Hard Rock resort properties but boasts different entertainment options, including 86 new slot machines, renovated luxury rooms, and much more. The opening ceremony also had the popular Guitar Smash of Hard Rock.

Earlier this week, Hard Rock International just inaugurated its newly built boutique hotel, and casino, Rocksino, in Deadwood, South Dakota. The inauguration event saw different music artists, the state’s governor, the Seminole Tribe of Florida leaders, and the South Dakota Sioux tribes.

The new hotel and casino are a little smaller than the other Hard Rock resort properties. Yet it is full of entertaining options like music memorabilia, a fully-stocked bar with amazing cocktails, and a restaurant.

The Rocksino has gambling and 86 new slot machines and renovated luxury guest rooms as well. Besides that, Rock Shop is also at the new property where people can buy custom clothes.

Hard Rock Deadwood also made a contribution of $40k to the Oglala Sioux Tribe Veterans Shelter to celebrate the grand opening event. For this donation, the Hard Rock Heals Foundation partnered up with the Willie G. Invitational Golf Tournament.

The opening ceremony also had the renowned Guitar Smash of Hard Rock, where 22 people played guitars on the stage. However, country music Big & Rich’s Big Kenny told the media that the smashed guitars were Hollywood props but not real.

Kenny also informed that Hard Rock donates many guitars to various communities worldwide.

The Mayor of Deadwood, David Ruth, expressed his appreciation for the efforts of Marc Oswald and Steve Slowey to help in bringing the prominent Hard Rock brand to one of the highly famous Wild West towns in the US.

Ruth said Deadwood, being popular for charming guests since 1876, is thrilled to welcome Rocksino. He also claimed that Rocksino would fit well enough in the area and offer ultimate customer experiences.

Kristi Noem, Governor of South Dakota, was also at the inauguration. Noem said for years, various initiatives offered amazing experiences for tourists to Deadwood, and now Rocksino will add to the amazing entertainment choices available for visitors.
