BetMGM’s full launch in the UK was marked by a new ad campaign with Chris Rock as the face of the brand.
Will Smith slapped Chris Rock at the Academy Awards last year, which got a lot of attention from the media. Rock is in the video that shows off Las Vegas and London.
In the commercial, Rock is shown in a small boat with a lion on board, sailing from the Bellagio fountains to the River Thames. This is meant to show BetMGM’s partnership with LeoVegas.
Sam Behar, the UK Director of BetMGM, talked about how excited he was for the launch in the UK and how committed they are to giving customers new and exciting options. He said that the campaign is based on MGM Resorts’ long history of great entertainment in Las Vegas and offers something new and different for the UK market.
This campaign, which includes eye-catching ads and the support of A-list celebrity Chris Rock, shows BetMGM’s unwavering dedication to bringing a new and entertaining perspective to the market. According to Behar, the world of betting is about to put on a spectacular show.
Dan Jacobs, who is the Chief Creative Officer at Recipe, said that helping with the launch of BetMGM in the UK was an honour. Indeed, he agreed that the group’s goal from the start had been to make a statement in the market. Using the famous picture of Chris Rock in a gold boat with a lion in the Fountains of Bellagio as an example, Jacobs stressed that this campaign does indeed stand out in a striking way.
In response to BetMGM’s launch in the UK without one of its backers, Entain, MGM Resorts chose to support LeoVegas internally. Entain said in a statement that they do not consider that this new launch will have any impact on their business or, indeed, the market, indicating that they were confident in their market position despite this event.
