Shape Games Partners with SunBet to Revolutionize South Africa’s Gaming Scene

Last updated: February 15, 2024

New partnerships will help SunBet give its growing customer base a more personalised experience.

Shape Games and SunBet Join Forces for Enhanced Gaming Experience

Shape Games, a digital business-to-business (B2B) platform and service provider for the iGaming industry that has won awards, announced a new partnership with SunBet, the biggest online betting company in South Africa and a part of Sun International Group. The new partnership was announced on Thursday and aims to improve the experiences of the biggest online betting company’s customers using new technologies.

Under the terms of the new partnership, SunBet will be able to give its growing customer base a more personalised experience. That’s what will happen when Shape Games’ native app frontend is put in place. This will improve the overall customer experience.

Changing South Africa’s Gambling Scene

Shape Games works with Kambi to provide sportsbook services that power the operator’s brick-and-mortar and online gambling sites. Because it works with Bede, the company also provides PAM solutions. In the end, this new partnership should completely change the way SunBet customers interact with the South African regulated gambling market.

Morten Tonnesen, CCO of Shape Games, said in a statement that he was excited about the new partnership. He said that the agreement with SunBet was a big step forward for the business and that it would give South African players an experience that can’t be gotten anywhere else.

SunBet Chooses Shape Games for Best-in-Class User Experience

Tonnesen emphasized that the collaboration with SunBet marked a significant milestone for Shape Games, solidifying their presence in Africa and expanding their partnership with Kambi. The company’s CCO expressed pride in being entrusted with the development of a top-tier native app experience for both Android and iOS users.

SunBet’s CEO, Simon Gregory, echoed the excitement, highlighting the company’s strong focus on customer satisfaction as a key driver for their recent growth. He emphasized that the partnership with Shape Games aims to elevate the gaming experience for their customers, providing a superior, personalized user experience for Android and Apple users, thereby enhancing their overall enjoyment at SunBet.

Kambi bought Shape Games about a year ago. In light of this, the two have been working together since November 2017.

However, Shape Games has been able to work with Kambi clients successfully since the acquisition, proving once again how well the two companies work together. The new partnership shows that the acquisition was a success because it lets more iGaming and retail businesses use Shape Games’ top-notch solutions that improve customer experiences.
