Hard Rock International welcomes John Rees as Senior Vice President of Hotel Operations, leveraging his 30 years of hospitality experience to elevate the brand’s global standing and deliver unparalleled guest experiences.
John Rees has been appointed SVP of Hotel Operations by Hard Rock International.
Rees will oversee all hotel operations in this capacity, including corporate and franchise properties.
The COO of Hard Rock International, Jon Lucas, expressed his excitement about John taking the helm of the Hard Rock Hotel team and emphasised strengthening the brand’s standing as a global leader in hospitality. Lucas emphasized John’s significant experience managing upscale hotels and his results-oriented leadership style as reasons why he is an invaluable asset to the organisation.

Rees has studied hospitality management and leadership courses and has worked in the hospitality sector for over 30 years.
Before joining Hard Rock International, Rees held the positions of Senior Director of Operations in the Middle East and Africa and Vice President of Resort Operations and Experience at Marriott Vacations Worldwide.
Rees also served as the Senior Director of Operations at The Ritz-Cartol Hotel Company in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, in a comparable capacity.
Rees was very excited to join Hard Rock at a critical juncture in the company’s history upon his appointment. He emphasized the abundance of upcoming hotel projects in the pipeline and the chance to work with teams to innovate and provide fans with the distinctive brand touchpoints and experiences they expect. Rees wants to establish Hard Rock Hotels as the hippest place to stay in the world, complete with the best vibe, where each visitor is treated like a celebrity.
