Following the thrilling PDC World Darts Championship, this collaboration promises an action-packed season, featuring eight players competing for £1m and amplifying BetMGM’s presence in the world of darts.
Premier League Darts has a new sponsor following the success of the 2024 Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) World Darts Championship, sponsored by Paddy Power, which included last night’s thrilling final between Luke Humphries and Luke Littler.
After securing an agreement with the PDC for Premier League Darts in 2024, BetMGM, which already has significant partnerships in the football world, including with Manchester City, Wolverhampton Wanderers, and Newcastle United, will now play a major role as a darts sponsor.
Eight players will compete in the BetMGM Premier League from February to May for a prize pool of £1 million ($1.3 million), with the top four finishers in the league table moving on to the Play-Offs, which conclude the season.
Matt Porter, the chief executive of PDC, expressed his happiness at announcing BetMGM as the 20th Premier League Darts title sponsor. He emphasized the high level of anticipation for this much-anticipated season by highlighting the tournament’s enormous live and worldwide TV audience over four months. Porter was thrilled to be starting the third year of the eight-player nightly knockout format and emphasized the partnership with BetMGM to publicize the event’s broad reach further.
BetMGM’s UK Director, Sam Behar, expressed excitement about working with the exciting and entertaining Premier League Darts. He anticipates a very exciting 2024 for the PDC and BetMGM.
