DraftKings began in 2012 as a fantasy sports site, but it has done a lot of growing since then. The company has expanded into sportsbooks, and then it developed an online casino. The online casino has been a successful venture since late 2018.
DraftKings began offering sports-themed casino games that players can only play at a DraftKings casino. The games themselves sound very entertaining, and DraftKings hopes to continue its meteoric rise in online casino activity. With football coming back in season this month, DraftKings has an exciting football-themed game. Called Touchdown Blackjack, players play it using NFL teams. The object of the game is to score touchdowns. Players gain yardage based on their hands. Players lose yards if the dealer gets to blackjack. Other than that, players play the game by standard blackjack rules. Touchdown Blackjack offers 3:2 odds with 2:1 insurance. Players can also opt to play on the free demo version, or play for money. Players can choose to bet between $1 and $5,000.
Another game DraftKings based on football is Touchdown Roulette. The gameboard is the standard double-zero roulette wheel. Just like the football blackjack game, gamers play Touchdown Roulette with yard gains and touchdowns. Players move down the field by placing multiple bets. Gamers make bets for as low as 10 cents or as much as $5,000.
For a little different take on a game, there’s Hockey Blackjack. The odds for Hockey Blackjack are the same as for Touchdown Blackjack: 3:2 with 2:1 insurance. Standard blackjack rules apply, so the dealer will hit at 16, whether it’s a hard 16 or a soft 16. The dealer will stay on 17. Players can also choose to play Basketball Roulette or Basketball Blackjack.
With its selection of sports-themed games to continue to grow, DraftKings is betting on its players. It expects its fans to be continually attracted to sports games and the thrill of wagering.
