DraftKings extends its online sportsbook to Vermont, enriching the New England sports betting landscape. The app, available for download, offers diverse wagering options as the company continues its nationwide expansion.
The Vermont-based online sportsbook for DraftKings has officially launched.
Customers can download the app ahead of time, but January 11, 2024, is the day it opens.
Vermont will be the 26th state in the US and the fifth state in New England where DraftKings has opened a sportsbook.
DraftKings had previously made its iGaming and online sportsbook debut in Ontario on May 18, 2022.
The Boston-based company’s online sportsbook is set to launch in Vermont on January 11, 2024, according to DraftKings North America President Matt Kalish. He emphasized how crucial it is to provide New Englanders with legal, safe access to sports betting. After being launched in 25 states, DraftKings’ sportsbook is now accepted in 26 states, including five in New England.
The app is currently available for download, allowing Vermonters to interact with their favourite sports during the NFL Playoffs. On May 18, 2022, DraftKings launched its online sportsbook and iGaming services in Ontario, marking the company’s first entry into the Canadian market.
As part of their community involvement, DraftKings contributed $25,000 to the Arbor Day Foundation and took part in events to support major reforestation efforts in Vermont. Not only is the company expanding in Vermont, it recently made the move to North Carolina.
At DraftKings Sportsbook, customers can place bets on a variety of leagues and tournaments, including the forthcoming Super Bowl.
They will also have access to a wide range of markets and bet types, including cross-sport and same-game parlays, special odds boosts, and in-game betting.
DraftKings has participated in many local Vermont events in the run-up to launch.
Contributions totalling $25,000 to the Arbor Day Foundation, an organization in charge of large-scale reforestation projects throughout the area.
Still, DraftKings is expanding beyond Vermont; the company recently made its North Carolina debut.
