American daily fantasy sports contest and sports betting company DraftKings has disclosed various statements regarding the expected online sports betting market introduction in Kentucky.
Back in March 2023, the legislation was approved, with regulators deciding to introduce sports betting in Kentucky on September 7, 2023, including a delayed online sportsbook launch for September 28.
DraftKings would be one of the first operators to introduce its sportsbook as soon as possible, with Bet365, Circa, FanDuel, BetMGM, Caesars, and Fanatics.
For the official launch, DraftKings has collaborated with a Kentucky Sports Radio Host, Matt Jones, who will place the inaugural bet via the DraftKings Sportsbook app.
The sports betting app of DraftKing will enable customers to engage in standard betting markets, including live betting and tournament-like events with friends.
DraftKings’ North America President, Matt Kalish, told the media that overall, Kentucky marks the 24th Jurisdiction where DraftKing. He said that they are excited to cater to sports fans around Kentucky with their legal and secure mobile app of DraftKings Sportsbook.
Kalish shares that it is a joyful time of the year with the NFL and college football seasons ongoing. He said that they look forward to being the host and delivering customers with a seamless sports betting experience.
Matt Jones told the media that he is very excited to partner with DraftKings and their top-rated sportsbook to give KSR listeners and sports followers across Kentucky with interesting content and all DraftKings offerings.
