Fanatics Betting and Gaming plans to launch its Fanatics Sportsbook app in eligible US states by year-end 2023.
With the Fanatics Sportsbook app’s official launch in Tennessee on March 2, Fanatics Holding’s online and retail sports betting division, Fanatics Betting and Gaming, successfully completed a six-month beta-testing phase in mid-August. Ohio, Massachusetts, and Maryland soon after that.
In the same month, the sports memorabilia company revealed it would greatly enhance its sports wagering loyalty platform by getting ready to roll out collectables and trading cards as a part of the rewards programme.
The launch of an iCasino is now complete, claims Ari Borod, chief business officer of Fanatics Betting & Gaming. While sports will continue to hold a special place in the hearts of fans, playing at online casinos is now a crucial component of their “long-term strategy.”
Fanatics recognizes the potential of the iCasino industry in the long term and aims to meet the desires of bettors interested in mobile blackjack, while also preventing them from seeking alternatives. They plan to launch an online casino in US states where it’s legally accepted, but they won’t rush the release to be the first; instead, their focus is on becoming the best in the business. Fanatics acknowledges a lack of innovation in the online casino sector and believes that their dedication and hard work will ultimately lead to success.
The company’s sportsbook app is currently available in four states, but none of them have legalised casino gambling. This indicates that opening an iCasino there is not necessary right away.
However, the virtual gambling platform has become a top priority for Fanatics. They are determined to introduce it in states like Michigan, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania, where online casinos are already established and operating. The significant launch is expected either by the end of this year or early next year, with a commitment to ensuring it meets their high standards, as mentioned by Borod in a Gamble On podcast episode.
The operator would demonstrate the same level of dedication to improving the casino and sports products concurrently, the chief business officer added.
It is reasonable to assume that the operator will first subject the iCasino products to the same kind of protracted and thorough beta testing as it did with its mobile sportsbook app before giving it the go-ahead for launch.
Fanatics hired former Opendoor executive Andrew Low Ah Kee earlier this month to serve as the company’s chief executive officer and oversee its $5 billion sports merchandise division.
