FanDuel, in a bid to strengthen its iGaming presence, finalizes the acquisition of BeyondPlay, appointing former CEO Karolina Pelc as VP. BeyondPlay, known for its multiplayer engagement platforms and licenses in key jurisdictions, presents an opportunity for FanDuel to outmaneuver competitors and expand its reach across North America’s lucrative iGaming landscape.
Despite this, other sportsbooks in the US such as DraftKings are actively pursuing assets at a more rapid pace. More competent competition FanDuel also made such a significant acquisition last Monday and declared the Chief Executive Officer of BeyondPlay as a part of the sportsbook’s family.
It is noteworthy that as of the completion of the acquisition, the previous Founder and CEO of BeyondPlay, Karolina Pelc, has assumed the role of VP of BeyondPlay at FanDuel.
Looking back at the progress, Pelc emphasized the importance of witnessing the brand she founded gradually transform into joining one of the worldwide premier gaming corporations and the premier operator in the United States of America.
She discussed the improvement from drawing the slogans at the initial step with just a pen and a piece of paper to occupying a strategic position within FanDuel, thus expressing the realization of her dreams.
The two companies signed the agreement in February, and at the time of announcing this, both parties agreed to deliver the product promptly. The exact value of the transaction has not been disclosed to the public domain or through official statements of any of the companies; therefore, it remains questionable.
The company was founded in 2021. After creating the platform, BeyondPlay attracted FanDuel’s attention and now has 40 employees.
The company’s primary purpose is to develop online Multiplayer Interfaces that allow users to interact creatively with the games of famous providers.
It helps that FanDuel has found value in acquiring what it perceives as a crucial asset at the moment, which focuses on engaging and retaining users to outcompete rivals such as BetMGM and DraftKings.
BeyondPlay not only hosts social gaming but also offers a jackpot management tool; it also can design campaigns according to the needs of its clients.
The company has fostered LeoVegas, Casumo, ComeOn, and other notable partners. It is licensed in numerous top jurisdictions, so FanDuel will also be able to take advantage of this reach.
BeyondPlay has licenses in Ontario, Canada, the United Kingdom, Malta, and Sweden. The Malta Gaming Authority granted the Maltese license, which does not specifically cover Malta but rather other regions.
All things considered, FanDuel anticipates that BeyondPlay will help it advance its iGaming operators throughout the North American market first.
