Hard Rock International and the Tejon Indian Tribe marked a groundbreaking milestone for the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tejon, a 700,000 sq ft gaming and entertainment haven. The premier location boasts 48 table games, 2,500 slots, upscale dining, and a commitment to positive economic impact, shaping the future of Kern County.
The only federally recognized tribe in Kern County, California, the Tejon Indian Tribe, and the international gaming and entertainment company Hard Rock International celebrated the groundbreaking of the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tejon, a brand-new gaming, hospitality, and entertainment complex situated on Tejon Tribal land. The new hotel and casino complex will be situated west of the Mettler community at the intersection of Hwy. 166 and Sabodan Road.
Hard Rock representatives were present at the historic celebration, along with leaders and members of the Tejon Indian Tribe and the local community. At the event, nearly two dozen individuals broke ground for the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tejon with commemorative shovels.
It is anticipated that the 700,000 square foot new premier hotel and casino will occupy. The gaming area, which will occupy 150,000 square feet, will have 2,500 of the most well-liked slots along with 48 table games and video poker machines. Along with the iconic Hard Rock Cafe and a Rock Shop, other features at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tejon are anticipated to include a fine dining restaurant called Council Oak Steaks and Seafood and a Rock Shop. After the ambitious project’s first phase is finished, which should happen about 22 months after the groundbreaking, those amenities and others should be available.
After that, phase two of the project—which will finish the hotel and casino—should take an additional 20 months. The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tejon is anticipated to open in the project’s second phase, featuring 400 rooms, a cigar lounge, a spa, a pool, and more dining options. In addition, a Hard Rock Live event space that can host sporting events and concerts is anticipated to be available at the new casino and hotel.
Jim Allen, the chairman of Hard Rock International, highlighted the development of a top-notch entertainment destination while expressing gratitude for the partnership with the Tejon Indian Tribe in a statement. Octavio Escobedo III, the chair of the Tejon Indian Tribe, described the day as exciting for Kern County, California, and the Tribe. He emphasized the significance of the project and expressed appreciation to the state legislature of California, the local government, Hard Rock International, Governor Gavin Newsom, and other sponsors.
