International Game Technology (IGT) has secured a perfect score of 100 in the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s 2025 Corporate Equality Index (CEI). The global gaming leader demonstrated its commitment to LGBTQ+ inclusion through initiatives like LGBTQ+ job boards, transgender-friendly facilities, and inclusive training programs.
The leading global gaming company, International Game Technology (IGT), has been recognized for its efforts in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).
The company announced on Wednesday that it achieved a perfect score on the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation’s 2025 Corporate Equality Index (CEI).
In a statement, IGT confirms that it remained at the high score of 100 for the 2025 CEI; this is indeed a testament to its inclusion policies and practices along with efforts at workplace equality with LGBTQ+ people.
The company took time as well as the resources to ensure that different programs, policies, and changes to operations focused on how to help foster workplace diversity and inclusion.
Some of the initiatives included creating LGBTQ+ job boards and positions to make hiring more fair and inclusive.
IGT also made training mandatory and optional for its employees to increase cultural awareness and reduce unconscious bias.
More initiatives include making restrooms and other facilities friendly for transgender people and having dress code practices that are not specific to any gender.
Not unexpectedly, IGT employees were given the choice to select the pronouns they prefer and share them with their coworkers.
The aforementioned initiatives by no means do not exhaust IGT’s efforts to become a more inclusive employer.
Ultimately, those efforts helped play a key role in the recent achievement.
The achievement highlights the company’s dedication to diversity, equity and inclusion
Brian Blake, IGT’s Vice President of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, commented on the topic revealing: “IGT once again achieving a top score in HRC Foundation’s 2025 CEI showcases our commitment to building a diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace where LGBTQ+ employees can thrive and feel safe, supported and empowered.”
The executive spoke about the company’s DEI objectives, recognizing them as significantly important.
Finally, Blake said: “We are continuously evolving our policies, practices, and benefits to ensure IGT remains an inclusive employer for LGTBQ+ professionals, and this recognition from the HRC motivates us to continue fostering a culture where all employees feel valued.”
Close to 1,500 organizations participated in the 2025 CEI.
The prestigious index assessed how businesses based in the United States promote LGBTQ+ policies across the country and overseas.
In order to achieve the top score, IGT had several pillars, policies, and business practices evaluated for their efforts towards the non-discrimination and inclusion of LGBTQ+ employees and their families.
Corporate social responsibility and best practices of initiatives toward an inclusive culture were evaluated among others for not discriminating.
