The month’s total revenue from slots was $814.6 million, which is 5% less than the previous year.
In September, the state’s casinos brought in $1.27 billion in gaming revenue, according to the Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB). It represents an annual growth of 1.69%.
$74.1 million was made on the Las Vegas Strip, a 7% increase from the previous year. There was a 1.8% increase in revenue to $1 billion in Clark County as a whole, which includes the Boulder Strip, North Las Vegas, downtown Las Vegas, and the Strip. Reductions in revenue of 6.6% were observed in Washoe County, which is home to casinos in North Lake Tahoe, Reno, and Sparks.
Slot machine revenue for the month came to $814.6 million, which is 5% less than the same period last year. Revenue from multi-denomination slot machines was $473.9 million. Revenue from card, table, and counter games rose 16.6% to $455.9 million. Leading the pack with $148.8 million, Baccarat is 85% ahead of September 2022.
While total wagering was $811.3 million, up 6.6% year over year, sports betting revenue fell by nearly 12% to $62.3 million. The percentage of bets held by sportsbooks decreased to 7.7%. Sixty-four percent of all bets were placed on mobile devices.
Based on the taxable revenues received in September 2023, the state was able to collect $77.6 million in percentage fees in October 2023. In comparison to October of the previous year, when percentage fee collections were $80.5m, this represents a decrease of 3.59%, or $2.89m.
