Play’n GO Joins Canadian Gaming Association for Regulatory Advancement

Last updated: August 14, 2024

Play’n GO has recently become a member of the Canadian Gaming Association, collaborating to support the advancement of regulated and responsible gaming in Canada. With operations in Quebec and Ontario, Play’n GO aims to expand further, aligning with CGA’s mission for a sustainable industry.

In a recent occurrence, Play’n GO has been listed as among the members of the Canadian Gaming Association (CGA), a well-known trade association of the numerous sectors in the Canadian gaming industry that entail gaming, betting on sports, lottery, and esports.

This move is a clear testimony of a strong desire that PLAY’N GO has to support the development of gambling regulation in Canada by engaging the other key players in the industry.

Many companies have been members of the CGA, with the association having over seventy members at one point in time or another in the last two decades. This membership also conforms to CGA’s goals of autonomous, responsible policies within the gaming environment by having Play’n GO as a member.

As single-event sports betting and iGaming are now legal in Ontario and Alberta with a private licensee-regulated online casino status under consideration, the timing of Play’n GO’s membership to operate in the country displays its commitment not only to the province but collectively for Canada to have a say in the country’s gaming industry.

CGA Welcomes Play’n GO as a New Member

Right now, only one gaming establishment from the UK – Play’n GO – has licenses and operates in some provinces, including Quebec and Ontario, with its sights set on gaining licenses in the rest of the country.

Canadian Gaming Association President and CEO Paul Burns stated his satisfaction in being able to welcome Play’n GO as part of the association and reaffirmed that the values of both the association and Play’n GO are in harmony as the association focuses on the positive development of Canada’s gaming sector and responsible player protection.

Likewise, Play’n GO North America Head of Region Saam Hafezi stated his pleasure at the membership of the firm in an essential trade body as he urged the CGA to respect the safe, equal, responsible, and sustainable gaming environment.

Play’n GO’s Growing Influence in North American Markets

It has also expanded into North America, where it has become quite relevant in the market. They both entered into a new level of partnership through overall content and marketing agreements that were recently rolled out and conceived after entering into similar content deals in New Jersey, Michigan, and West Virginia.

That’s why in the Keystone State, the supplier has also aimed at a content opportunity with Rush Street Interactive’s BetRivers, through which it launched a vast number of the supplier’s games. By signing up for the CGA membership, Play’n GO will also elevate its position in the area and be credited as a driver of change within the industry and in policy.
