Playtech and Buzz Bingo Renew Software License Deal

Last updated: December 22, 2023

Playtech and Buzz Bingo have prolonged their software license and services agreement, aiming to provide a seamless gaming experience across various channels until 2031.

Seamless Gaming Integration

Playtech’s wallet technology will be added to Buzzbingo.com as a result of the partnership. It has a customer registration process and an omnichannel wallet. The goal is to give players a consistent gaming experience across all channels, such as bingo, casino, live dealer, POP, cashier, and native apps.

When it first came out in September 2018, Buzzbingo.com was the first online bingo site in the UK.

Buzz Bingo CEO Praises Playtech Partnership

In a statement, Dominic Mansour, Executive Chairman of Buzz Bingo, thanked Playtech for making the customer experience better on both sites. Playtech’s large selection of games has helped the partnership solidify Buzz Bingo’s position as the top omnichannel bingo brand in the UK. They are thrilled to have extended their agreement because both of them are still committed to giving gamers the best experiences on all platforms.

Playtech had a huge amount of success in its most recent financial report for the first half of 2023. It made €859.6 million ($905 million), which is 8% more than the same time in 2022. This was the most it had ever sold in five years. Also, adjusted EBITDA grew by a huge 10% from one year to the next. Also, Playtech’s B2B and B2C divisions both grew in the first quarter of 2023.

Playtech’s Expanding Ventures in 2023

In March 2023, Hard Rock Digital sold a small part of the business to Playtech for $85 million. Because of this partnership, Hard Rock’s sports betting and online gambling can be found in more US states.

Playtech said in its FY2022 report that the group made €1.6b, which is 33% more than the previous year. Also, adjusted EBITDA went up, reaching €405.6m, which is 28% more than the previous year.

For added safety, Playtech and IDVerse worked together to use technology to check players’ identities.

Last but not least, BetParx and Playtech opened a new sportsbook in Maryland. This was done to help the company do better in the US market.
