Playtech and MGM Resorts Unveil MGM Live at SBC Summit

Playtech and MGM Resorts International have introduced MGM Live, a new live casino concept presented at the SBC Summit in Lisbon. The collaboration aims to deliver Las Vegas excitement to global players with live casino broadcasts from MGM’s venues, including plans for celebrity guest appearances in dedicated studios.

Playtech and MGM Resorts International thus recently presented their latest development, the MGM Live, at the SBC Summit held in Lisbon, Portugal. The new Chips will unveil a live casino platform that transmits its products from MGM’s brick-and-mortar casinos in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The companies’ partnership is to create an “experiential enhancement” for players and further the excitement and stimulating Vegas ambience among the global audience. MGM Resorts International’s SVP and Head of Interactive, Christian Stuart, has formulated a new consumer experience that will afford enhanced players’ choice in the regulated states.

Stuart said that the firm has been looking at live dealers for a while, knowing the space to be massive and that it contributes to 20-30% of operator income. After careful research, the company ‘uncovered’ Las Vegas as its unique selling proposition and aimed to integrate the famous gaming atmosphere into its live casino streams.

Stuart underlined that this step has been in process for some time, and its main idea is to use MGM’s key locations, such as MGM Grand and Bellagio, to advance internationally.

MGM Resorts and Playtech Harness the Global Appeal of Las Vegas for MGM Live Expansion

Associated with grand landmarks like the MGM Grand and Bellagio on the Las Vegas Strip, MGM Resorts International is already fairly situated to expand internationally. Playtech’s Chief Operating Officer Shimon Akad reiterated this vision, saying that the company was proud to partner with MGM Resorts.

Discussing the concept of MGM Live, Akad explained that Las Vegas is famous globally and that each person who bets dreams of going there, as it is the ‘.capital of the gambling industry and entertainment.

While answering the journalists’ questions, both Akad and Christian Stuart, the SVP and Head of Interactive, discussed possible problems. Stuart also pointed out that the company has a strong Vegas brand and that the company can effectively apply it to different markets.

He stated that while U.S. products typically require market-specific adjustments, Vegas’ global appeal can help the MGM Live concept overcome those obstacles and “cut through the noise.”

The partnership aims to deliver Las Vegas experiences to players worldwide, leveraging the iconic status of the city to enhance their live casino offerings.

MGM Live Ensures Compliance, Plans Celebrity Features in Future Studio

All content stemming from the MGM Live concept will be delivered in strict accordance with regulatory standards, ensuring compliance with all necessary prerequisites to avoid potential obstacles. MGM Resorts and Playtech emphasized that their approach is designed to ensure the product reaches its target markets without any hindrances.

Hinting at future developments for MGM Live, Christian Stuart, MGM Resorts International’s SVP and Head of Interactive, shared that the concept has more exciting features planned. 

Initially, games will be streamed live, but there are plans to introduce a dedicated studio. This studio could feature celebrity guest appearances, adding an extra layer of excitement and entertainment to the live casino experience.
