Table games and slot revenue fell 4.4% from the previous month and 0.8% from September 2022.
The three casinos in Detroit made $101.6 million from August to September, according to the Michigan Gaming Control Board. Slot machines and table games brought in $100 million, while sports betting brought in $1.6 million.
Slot machines and table games earned 4.4% and 0.8% less money from September 2022 to August 2022, respectively. The MGM Grand Detroit Casino receives 44% of all casino revenue in the city. 31% goes to Motor City, 25% each to Hollywood and Greektown.
The Hollywood Casino at Greektown gained an additional $24.3 million, or 15%, in revenue from gambling between 2012 and 2013. Motor City appears to have lost only 1.1% of its revenue, to $31 million, while MGM lost 7.6%, to $44.7 million.
The six casinos in the city of Detroit brought in $8.1 million in taxes for the state of Michigan. At this time last year, the month made $8.2 million. As agreed upon in the development agreement, the Detroit casinos were paid $12.3 million in debt and fees.
